About us · Bathurst & Baycrest

The North York pharmacy that knows your name.

Murray Shore Pharmacy has served the families of North York, Thornhill, and Toronto since 1983. Independent then, independent now: the same counter, the same phone number, and a pharmacist who picks it up.

More than forty years on Bathurst

Since 1983, and still showing up.

  1. 1983

    The doors open

Murray Shore Pharmacy opens at Bathurst and Baycrest: an independent pharmacy from day one, with a pharmacist at the counter and a phone that gets answered.

  2. The years after

    Compounding becomes a craft

The dispensary grows into custom compounding: strengths, forms, and flavours prepared for one person at a time, in partnership with their prescriber.

  3. Generation to generation

    Families come back

The children whose medicine we once flavoured return with children of their own. North York, Thornhill, and Toronto families, across generations, at the same counter.

  4. Today

    Same counter, more care

Pharmacist assessments, free local delivery, blister packs, and custom compounds. The services grew; the phone number and the welcome did not change.

Our values

Independent on purpose, kosher-aware in everything we dispense, and unhurried with seniors and the caregivers who support them. Decisions are made at this counter, by people who will see you again next month.

What we do

Custom compounding, blister packs, free delivery, easy refills, prescription transfers, and pharmacist assessments. Each one exists so the medicine fits the person, not the other way around.

Explore compounding

Part of the neighbourhood

We close Friday afternoon before Shabbos, stay closed through Sunday, and answer the ingredient questions that matter here, like gelatin sources. And if that is not part of your life, you are every bit as welcome.

About our kosher pharmacy

The team

Benny is our pharmacist, and he reviews every clinical page on this site the way he reviews every prescription: carefully, and in person. The best introduction is still the one you get at the counter.

The people behind the counter

Independent means the same familiar faces, year after year. Here are a few of them, with more of the team to introduce soon.

Good to know

Is there parking nearby?

There is street parking on and around Bathurst Street near the store, and availability changes with the time of day. If mobility or parking is a concern, call us at 416-789-1800 before you come and we will suggest the easiest approach, or simply have your order delivered free.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk in during opening hours and speak with the pharmacist. For longer conversations, such as a full medication review, calling ahead helps us set aside unhurried time for you.

What languages do you speak?

English always, and depending on who is on shift, other languages as well. Call ahead and we will tell you who is in that day, or bring a family member along; either way, we take the time to make sure everything is understood.

How long have you been here?

Since 1983, at Bathurst and Baycrest, and independent the whole time. That is more than forty years of serving North York, Thornhill, and Toronto families from the same neighbourhood.
