Most adults can simply come by during store hours during flu season. No prescription, no referral, no forms to hunt down beforehand. If you are already our patient, we have your file; if not, this is a fine way to meet us.
Call ahead
Call first if you are bringing children, coming as a family, or making a special trip. Vaccine stock changes through the season, so one quick call to 416-789-1800 confirms we have doses on hand that day and saves you a wasted journey.

Flu season in Ontario typically runs from late fall to early spring, and the province recommends getting the updated flu vaccine each fall.

Children as young as 2 can get their flu shot at a participating pharmacy. Children under 2 are still covered by the free program, but need a doctor’s office or clinic instead.

When should I get my flu shot?
Each fall. Ontario recommends the updated flu vaccine every fall, since flu season typically runs from late fall to early spring. If you are reading this mid-season, it is still worth calling: we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense to come in.
Is the flu shot really free?
Ontario funds free flu shots for everyone 6 months of age and older who lives, works or goes to school in the province. If you are not sure what to bring with you, call 416-789-1800 before you come and we will sort it out on the phone.
Do I need a prescription?
No. Ontario pharmacies give publicly funded vaccines, including the flu shot, without a prescription. Just come in as yourself, no paperwork from a doctor required.
Can I just walk in, or should I book?
Walk-ins are welcome during store hours. That said, vaccine stock changes through the season, so a quick call to 416-789-1800 before you head over means you never make the trip for nothing.
Can my kids get their flu shot here?
Children as young as 2 can get their flu shot at a participating pharmacy in Ontario. Please call ahead for children so we can confirm stock and set aside a calm moment for them. Children under 2 need a doctor’s office or clinic, and we can point you in the right direction.
Can the whole family come at once?
Yes, and many do. One call, one visit, everyone done for the season. Call 416-789-1800 first so we can confirm there is enough vaccine on hand for everyone that day, children included.
Can I get other vaccines at the same visit?
